About me

Hi, I'm Garret.

I'm running because of the money problems me & my neighbors keep running into. Housing, healthcare, & paychecks that don't keep up. They get worse every year, & they keep getting ignored. I grew up in Tea, & it's still home. It's where I went to school, worked my first jobs, & where my family & friends are. I've watched Tea & the towns around it grow fast, & I've watched it get harder for regular folks to afford to stay. I've also spent just under two years serving at The Banquet. I know how workers get treated in this state, especially folks just starting out. I think we can do better, & I want to hear from you.

A few honest notes

How to read this list.

This isn't a poll. It's what folks told me on their porches, so here are a few things worth knowing.

Not everybody, but a lot of you

These answers come from people who opened the door & chatted with me. That's somewhere between 3% & 15% of the district.

Some things are probably undercounted

I'm a candidate standing on your porch, & my intro already talked about housing costs, prescription drug costs & protecting benefits. Folks had already heard me on those, so they likely show up lower than they should.

I wrote it all down

Every issue made the list, whether I agree with it or not.

Nothing counted twice

If you told me about your water bill, that counts for "Water bill" & not "Utility costs", & the other way around. No answer gets counted twice.
